Is there any better feeling than opening a fresh-off-the-FedEx-truck box of car parts? I submit that there is not.
4-links for the Cressida Wagon! I sent them the measurements and they hooked me up with these beauties. I'll be installing these tomorrow and God-willing they will eliminate my axle clunk. Heim joints for the freaking win.

I remember opening the box with my new camshaft in it. So clean. Smooth machined surfaces, 16 lifters all in a row in the box. Each lifter with shiny bottoms, not yet mated by friction to the camshaft in shower of break in oil and ZDDP.
Ahh... simpler times.

It feels nice until you remember how much it costs.

I submit that there is at least one better feeling:
Taking your new-to-you ZR-1 for its first drive, nailing the accelerator, and making perfect shifts through every gear.
Yeeeeeeeeeeah.
Actually, any new-car first-drive after signing papers and taking ownership is the best. Doesn't matter how old the car is, it always smells new!
